Young And The Restless: Summer Newman Says Goodbye To Kyle Abbott

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, June 28 suggests Summer Newman (Hunter King) will say her goodbyes before leaving for Italy.

Also coming up, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will be stunned to find out Summer recommended her for the JCV president position. Plus, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will run all over town looking for Summer and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will call her out.

Y&R spoilers tease a teary-eyed Summer will pick up a photo of she and Kyle. Then she’ll flash back to Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) threat to disappear with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). She’ll then make her away around Genoa City for some bittersweet farewells.

However, Summer’s goodbyes will not all be bittersweet – one will be confrontational. At Crimson Lights, she’ll tell Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) she’s moving to Italy. Faith will ask if Kyle’s excited too and she’ll tell her Kyle’s not coming.

After Faith leaves, Mariah will tell Summer she’s as selfish as ever. “You are a real piece of work, trashing Kyle’s heart like this,” Mariah will say. “Believe it or not, I was pulling for you and Kyle this time.” Summer will say that it feels right that they’ll end things the way they started. “Goodbye, Snowflake,” Mariah will say.

At Society, Summer will walk in while Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E Bregman) is meeting with Sally. She’ll ask to talk to Lauren alone and Sally will be sure she’s trashing her. But when she gets back to the table, she’ll be stunned to find out Summer recommended her for the JCV president’s position. Tara will arrive and they’ll smile at each other. Lauren will leave the table and Sally will tell Tara, “I won’t relax until Summer gets on a plane.”

Meanwhile, Summer will visit Newman Media and bid farewell to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman (Eric Braeden). And at Chancellor Park, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will tell her he’ll do everything he can to make sure Kyle accepts this. Back at her suite, Summer and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will hug it out.

Finally, Kyle will only be minutes behind Summer as he tries to find her. He’ll finally catch up with her as she and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) head to the airport. Kyle wants one last chance to convince her to stay. “There is no future between us,” she’ll tell him. “I don’t know how much clearer I can be.” Then she’ll kiss him and slip her engagement ring into his hand. But is Summer gone for good?
